I Want You To Stay Close

My project was born out of a period of Physical separation imposed on me and my partner. It was a time when the body was absent, but the connection persisted.
From this experience, questions about intimacy, longing, and loneliness arose.
Using a series of jewelry bearing traces of touch, movement, and body, I examined the tension between being close or being apart. Each piece of jewelry is meant to be warn by two people. The jewelry exist within this tension,
and allow one to linger in it for a moment. This work is about trying to give form to an experience that has no clear expression, for moments that satisfy the intimacy present, as long as there is a body to hold.
